Undated (1795) Washington Liberty and Security Penny PCGS MS62RB
This issue, undated but struck by 1795 and featuring a “Liberty and Security” design, was made at the foundry of Peter Kempson & Son of Birmingham, England. A quantity of these coppers was exported to America for circulation in the hope that Kempson & Son would be offered a contract to produce coinage for the fledgling nation. |
